Association and Affiliation

First of all let me explain to you the difference between Association and Affiliation.

1. Association, i.e. body of persons organised for joint purpose; connection of ideas and fellowship.

Association with LICU implies that you (i.e. your school, college or university) will be recognised as a Christian Institution among the ′LICU Network of University Campuses′. Upon acceptance you will be receiving an LICU Wall Certificate (to be renewed every January), confirming your status of Association. Please note that Association with LICU does not give you the status of Accreditation, which can only be obtained through Affiliation.

However credits earned by students at all of LICU′s Associated Institutions are transferrable into LICU′s degree program once they enrol as a student or faculty member.

To download your personal ′Association Form′ please click here.

2. Affiliation, i.e. ′affiliating or being affiliated - order, compelling.... help and support′. An obligatory relationship between LifeStyle International Christian University and those affiliated. Obligation to help aid and support if one comes under the umbrella of affiliation.

Affiliation with LICU implies that you (i.e. your school, college or university) will become a fully recognised Extension Campus of ′LifeStyle International Christian University′, which means you would take on the courses of LICU, including the administration and the way of running the programs. Upon acceptance you will be receiving an LICU Wall Certificate, confirming your status of Affiliation and Accreditation.

Credits earned by students at any LICU′s Extension Campuses are at the same level of recognition as those received by students studying at the Main Campus or through the Correspondence Program.

Also you may read further information in the Extension Campus information section of this site. There you will be able to also download the ′Extension Campus Set Up Helper′, a small brochure providing you with further information of how to get started in this process.

Please note that the first step to becoming a recognized Extension Campus would be for you to attend one of our annual LICU Summer Bible Camps, where you will not only be enjoying some quality teaching (which also can be accredited to your academic records) with international friends but also you will have the opportunity of an interview with Dr. Alan Pateman(founder and president of LICU) who will be taking time to speak with you about your vision of becoming part of this ′Global Network of University Campuses′. This interview is part of our LICU standard procedures as it is Dr. Pateman′s desire to meet each individual in person before the start-off of the entire set up process.
